Track the recurrence, not only the age of an event

An anniversary calculator follows a dated event through annual or multi-year recurrences. It can describe a wedding, work start, business launch, sobriety date, graduation, memorial, move, or any personal event without assuming every anniversary has the same meaning. The result identifies the latest occurrence, next occurrence, ordinal number, weekday, and calendar time remaining.

A five-date outlook supports longer planning, while cycle progress shows how far the selected reference date sits between the previous and next recurrence. The original date and leap-day policy stay visible so the timeline can be reproduced.

Build the recurrence from its original date

  1. Enter the date the event originally occurred, not the date of a later celebration.
  2. Choose the reference date from which latest and next occurrences should be judged.
  3. Keep recurrence at one year for an annual anniversary or choose a larger interval for a custom cycle.
  4. Calculate, review the ordinal and weekday, then export the selected event if your calendar should remind you.

Completed years and recurrence number can differ

An event may be 11 completed years old while a five-year recurrence schedule is approaching its third marked occurrence. The page therefore reports calendar age and recurrence position separately rather than relabelling every elapsed year as a scheduled anniversary.

The ordinal—such as 10th or 25th—always refers to years from the original event when annual mode is used.

The meaning of today is explicit

If the reference date is an occurrence date, zero calendar days remain and that date is the current anniversary. The following outlook still shows later dates, which avoids forcing the user to wait until tomorrow to plan ahead.

February 29 needs a chosen observance

An event on leap day has no matching date in most years. Choose February 28 or March 1 for non-leap occurrences and confirm any legal or organizational rule independently. The calendar export follows the selected occurrence, not a universal recurrence law.

For a multi-year recurrence, the future list advances by the selected interval rather than displaying every annual anniversary. Change the recurrence to one year when you want a complete yearly sequence.

The calculation stays on this device. An optional label can make an export understandable, but avoid including confidential details when downloading or sharing the result.

Frequently asked questions

Answers about recurrence numbers, today boundaries, event types, leap day, privacy, and calendar export.

When is my next anniversary?

Enter the original event and reference dates. The result finds the next occurrence under the selected recurrence interval.

Which anniversary number is it?

Annual mode counts completed years from the original date and labels the occurrence with its ordinal number.

What if the anniversary is today?

The current occurrence is shown with zero days remaining, while the future-date list continues beyond it.

Can I calculate a work or sobriety anniversary?

Yes. The arithmetic is neutral and supports any event with a known original date and chosen recurrence.

How is February 29 handled?

Select February 28 or March 1 for non-leap years. The result and export use that visible policy.

Does the website send reminders?

No. Download the calendar event and let your own calendar service manage notifications and recurrence settings.
