A planning horizon you choose—not a lifespan forecast

A life calendar represents time as consecutive weeks from birth toward a target age selected by the user. Each small cell stands for one seven-day interval, with completed weeks, the current partial week, and future weeks shown in different states. Numeric totals remain beside the grid so the visualization never becomes an unexplained wall of squares.

The target might be age 60, 80, 90, or another personal planning horizon. It is not a predicted death age or an estimate of weeks left to live. Changing it changes the scope of the picture, not a claim about the future.

Choose the horizon shown on the weeks grid

  1. Enter the birth date and the date at which progress should be measured.
  2. Choose a target age and optional extra months that serve a real planning purpose.
  3. Select the preferred week display and decide whether common age milestones should be marked.
  4. Calculate, read the totals first, then use the grid to reflect or plan without treating future cells as guaranteed.

How complete, current, and future cells differ

A complete cell represents a full seven-day interval since birth. The current cell, when present, is the unfinished week containing the reference date. Future cells fill the remaining selected horizon, and the final cell may be partial when the target does not land on a seven-day boundary.

This method keeps arithmetic tied to the birth date rather than forcing every life week into Monday–Sunday calendar labels.

Use the visual to choose a next action

A grid is most useful when it prompts a concrete, proportionate step: schedule time with family, start a course, review a long project, or set a health appointment. It should not create panic or pretend every future week has equal opportunity or certainty.

Memento mori without a death clock

Life-in-weeks designs are sometimes called memento mori calendars. This implementation keeps the reflective idea while rejecting death-date prediction and generic life-expectancy assumptions. The user owns the endpoint, and the warning remains next to the result.

What does one square in the life calendar represent?

One square represents one consecutive seven-day interval from the entered birth date; the last square may be partial.

Does the target age predict my lifespan?

No. It is a planning horizon you choose. The calculator makes no probability, mortality, or life-expectancy claim.

How is the current partial week shown?

It receives its own state between completed and future cells so it is not rounded into either category.

Can I change the target from age 80?

What are the milestone cells?
