Editorial Policy
Content is published to help a person complete a real task, understand a method, and recognize the result's limits—not to manufacture pages for search traffic.
People-first purpose
Every calculator must solve a distinct user problem and provide the information needed to evaluate its answer. Pages are not created merely to capture slight variations of the same search phrase. Google publishes no preferred word count, so usefulness, originality, and completeness take priority over arbitrary length.
Originality and page-specific value
A tool page needs its own inputs, result model, worked example, edge cases, explanation, and related next step. Shared interface patterns can make the site easier to use, but page copy must reflect the actual calculation rather than swap keywords into a generic template. Summaries of outside sources must add relevant interpretation and never imitate their wording.
Evidence and attribution
External claims are linked to the most direct available source and recorded with scope and review dates. Primary standards, official agencies, and professional bodies are preferred. A citation is not used to imply endorsement, and a source-backed page is not described as professionally reviewed unless a real qualified reviewer and review record exist.
Who, how, and why
The publisher and contact address identify who maintains the site. The Methodology and AI Usage pages explain how calculators and articles are produced. Pages are published only when they provide a working tool, a documented method, or information that helps readers interpret a result. These disclosures do not claim or guarantee search placement.
Safety and result language
Exact, rule-based, estimated, entertainment, and creative results are labeled differently. Health, school, pet, retirement, and legal-adjacent pages state their limits near the result, not only in the footer. Unsupported superlatives, fake urgency, fabricated testimonials, invented statistics, and guarantees about accuracy or rankings are prohibited.
AI-assisted production
Assistance may be used for drafting, coding, test ideas, or design exploration, but it is not an authority or an autonomous publisher. Material output is checked against the method, source register, policy limits, calculation examples, accessibility requirements, and existing page behavior. Deterministic calculator results do not come from a generative model.
Review, updates, and corrections
Material changes require a reason: a verified defect, new source, clearer limitation, accessibility improvement, or better user experience. Review dates change only after substantive work. Errors are handled under the Corrections Policy, and urgent accuracy, privacy, safety, or access issues take priority over cosmetic or search-oriented changes.
Commercial independence
Advertising or monetization must not alter a formula, source conclusion, result label, or editorial recommendation. Ads must not imitate controls or interrupt the primary calculation. Sponsored material, affiliate relationships, or other commercial influence must be disclosed before publication if they are ever introduced.
